The seeds sown into missions and outreaches are eternal and have far reaching effects. We will never comprehend or appreciate its complete value until we step over into eternity.
I remember, my pastor, John Osteen would say, with tears welling up in his eyes, that when we get to heaven people are going to come up to us and thank us for giving to missions because of it they heard the good news of salvation through Jesus.
Next time you are s-t-r-e-t-c-h-i-n-g your faith to give, remember Matthew 6:20 says you are actually laying up treasure in heaven. Giving hooks your heart into God’s plans and purposes because the next verse goes on to say where your treasure is there your heart will be also.
We need to be intertwined with heaven these days. He has got big plans unfolding in the hearts of His people and it is all focused on one final goal: bringing as many individuals as possible out of the Kingdom of darkness into the Kingdom of Light.
The harvest of souls will take incredible amounts of resources and finances, all of which have been stored up for the last days of the Church age (James 5:3). As our hearts are united with the heartbeat of heaven, He will give us access to these reservoirs which not only include wealth but other harvesting equipment. Everything we need will be made available to us as He knows we can be trusted to be distributing channels of the “tools” that go out to bring in the very precious fruit of the earth.
Let’s use our faith to tap into all that heaven has for us in these days! In Hebrews 10:35, “recompense of reward” is a compound Greek word giving a picture of money or a payment traveling by foot headed our direction. As one man says: “Money Cometh!”
It’s going to take all of heaven coming down to earth for this great ingathering of souls. The Spirit of the Lord spoke it to me like this, “Together To Gather.” So, stayed hooked up to heaven and don’t cast away your confidence in God’s ability or faithfulness for it has a great recompense of reward.
